Looking to upgrade laptop

Soooo... i just got a Gateway NE51B18u. I do alot of audio editing and recording which ik takes a lot of ram and i learned this laptop isnt too great for that.. sooooo, i wanna rip out watever it is i need to and replace wit better stuff... also, a better picture would be nice.... can u tell me wat i need? Any recomendations?

I have a brand-new laptop. I just wanna upgrade wat I can.. I got about 500 to spare

If you just got it, can you still return it? Upgrading laptops significantly is ugly and in many cases, is either impossible or requires some expert soldering. If it's a brand-new laptop and you have 500 to spare, returning it and getting a laptop on a better platform is a far better idea.

Not much other then ram and ssd, the cpu is weak and you can't upgrade it.
Should have ask before you bought it.

...the cpu is weak and you can't upgrade it.

"Weak" is the understatement of the year...

I'm surprised that you can still get a brand new win 8 laptop when win10 has been out for a year.

You should come buy here in South Africa then; plenty of Win 8 laptops in the channel still
