Hi all, unfortunately my debit card was somehow stolen online and was being used in a purchase on ebay as a guest. They also got into my ebay account and changed the email so I called ebay and got the account back. I then called Paypal to find out if the purchase was through them and it wasn't so I put my debit card on hold through the bank, deleted it from Paypal and requested a new one with through my bank but it will take time. Ebay contacted the seller and started the refund process however IDK how long this will take.

Another issue is how this person obtained my card, I use my iPhone to pay the majority of my bills and only use my card on Windows in Steam. Neither iPhone or PC goes to any sketchy websites outside of TH, PCPer or some retail sites such as Newegg nor do I download anything besides games through Steam, Origin or Uplay. Also I keep my antivirus (Windows Defender) up to date and do scan (quick & full) on a regular basis. Recently I did a full scan with Malwarebytes that turned up nothing as well.

So my question is what steps should I take next to protect my info such as better AV or even doing a full reinstall of Windows or do I need some sort of AV for my iPhone? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this really messed me up financially as I have bills to pay and now will be running late.

True, I wish I could of figured out how they got it in the first place but I guess there's so many different possibilities like giving it to a store clerk, online purchase, restaurant, etc.

Oh well, credit card for bills and cash when I'm out, thanks for the help.
