Microphone not being picked up by programs. HELP

My microphone on my Astro A50 is not being picked up by my computer or any programs that I'm using. When I talk into the mic i can hear myself. When I listen to the device through the Recording Properties i can hear myself talking as well. But when i look at the Recording microphone there are never any bars moving to see that there is talking, unless i use "Listen to this device". The headset used to work just fine.

I've tried resetting my computer, resyncing the wireless transmitter, and updating firmware.

Are you running Windows 10? You might need to check your privacy settings and see if the application you're trying to use your mic with is being allowed through privacy.

If your system recently upgraded to the latest build of Windows 10, the privacy settings will sometimes reset themselves. Glad you were able to fix it.
