If the video resolution of your computer is not compatible with the TV you won't get a picture. Set the computer to the native resolution of the TV.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV.
The HDMI cable can affect whether you get a picture.
The order you boot the computer and select the input it's connected to can affect it too.
