my hp laptop starts then shuts down then repeats this untill power removed how can i fix it:??:

help me plz
my laptop starts nothing on the display and shuts down if i press the power button nothing happens until power is removed.sometimes it looks it's going to start (it doesn't shut for a few seconds )then when it shut down it wont start at all until power is removed then reinserted.
what could be the problem and how can i fix it

Hi,

Perform a hard reset first with your laptop and see if it do the trick. Remove the battery and the AC adapter off the laptop then press and hold the power button for around 20 secs. Put it all back together then power it on see if will go directly to the desktop. If not reset the RAM, remove the RAM off the laptop for couple of seconds then put it back in then power it on again.
