My laptop connects to my old TV, but I cannot connect it to my new BRAVIA

I had my old TV in which I connected my laptop to all the time, but now, I have a new TV and when I try to connect my laptop, it does not work. My sister has the same laptop as me and she does not have any issues connecting her laptop to it.
Please help me!

- did you check the the cable and port you're trying on your TV do work? You can try connecting something like DVD player, game console to that cable to ensure you've selected proper source on your TV
- on your laptop, press <Windows key><P>, and from there select "Extend". You should see another desktop on your TV,

I run my PS4 on there and it work. My sister has the same laptop as me and she is able to connect it.

Try checking the laptops resolution to see if it is compatable with the TV.
