my memory card has just randomly stopped working in my phone, how do i fix this?

heres the thing i took out my memory card to put another one in for some files but it wouldnt read it so i took it back out and put my usual one back in which i have had for over a year but for some reason nothing from my memory card it appearing. i go to my options and it says that there isnt a memory card inserted when there is. i dont know what to do? does anyone have any ideas how i can fix it?

it may be a problem wid the card slot if u have an open slot i.e at the side of ur phone clean the are
or rather inside by the way dos it read on other phones or on the card reader please reply i have another way of helping

yes the memory card reads in other phones just not mine, i have no idea why as it had been working perfectly fine before i removed it.
