My New LG TV 55uj62 will not connect to my old Technics SA EX400 stereo

I'm having an issue connecting my LG TV to my Technics stereo. They both connect by RCA cables, I get feed back from the stereo when removing the RCA cables from the TV but I get no sound from channels just dead air. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

That TV does not have RCA audio output. It has RCA input. Check your owner's manual. I think there is only optical audio output.

The RCA on tv might be in, not out. Check the manual or the labels on ports and see what available audio out connections.

Does this mean the stereo is useless? I spoke with LG and they're saying it could be a new RCA cable that's needed. Manual says nothing. On the back of the TV over the RCA connection it says Mono L/R. Nothing else

See PDF pages 4 and 5 for back panel connectivity. All of the plugs are INPUT except the optical port.
