My RCA Maven Pro is frozen at the "Maven Pro" screen. Help!

I have just purchased a used RCA Maven Pro. It was OK at first but during setup it would keep restarting. Now it is freezing at the "Maven Pro" screen. I have done a hard reset and erased all user data. I like this thing, I would like to get it working again.

The instructions I have seen to start it in safe mode don't seem to work.

Hmm, may be a virus or malware that wasn't removed when the reset was done. Or it could be a bad device.

Thanks. I have looked at the system integrity check and it shows thirteen corrupted files.
What do you suggest I do next?

You should be able to repair said files. However this isn't the same as malware and virus checking. Those require specific programs.

Well it has to be the repair since I can't boot the tablet☺

Duh. Have you tried starting it up in "Safe Mode" to see if it will start?
