Solved! My tv (Lg 70” smart) has only one audio out. Can I connect analog headphones to this, then through a DAC and still get soun

Solution
Assuming that the only audio output of the TV is a fixed level optical then you would need a DAC.headphone amp to use wired headphones. A DAC won't have enough output to drive most headphones and doesn't have a volume control which you will need since the TV remote won't affect the volume. If you use BT headphones then you can get a BT transmitter with optical input which solves these issues.
