no sound in home theater via hdmi arc

i have recently bought a panasonic home theater system(sc-xh201) [ http://www.panasonic.com/in/consumer/audio-video/home-theatre-systems/sc-xh201.html ] which will support admi arc,
and my tv system is lg( 32ln571b) [ http://www.lg.com/in/tvs/lg-32LN571B-led-lcd-tvs] which also have hdmi arc port...
when i connect home theater system with hdmi arc there is no sound... but optical works fine...
i have also contect to panasonic for support support and their engineer said that hdmi arc is working only on panasonic tv not on other tv... is this true??? plz give me ans....

Your TV specs don't say if it's HDMI 1.4a or not, which it needs to be.

not in specs but in tv on the hdmi port there is written that HDMI (ARC)... what to do???

Okay if it's on the TV then that's where you plug your home theater system in and then make sure in your TV setup, that that's what it's using for sound.

Check the menus of both the TV and HTiB to make sure that ARC is turned on. You also need an HDMI cable that supports ARC. Try another cable.
