Nvidia control panel 3D settings not saving?

Hey, just yesterday i noticed that when i change preferred Graphic driver to use it always reverts to "Automatic choice" And since my Main Nvidia GPU has Artifacts i have to use my laptop's intergrated graphics driver. But now because of this i can't play some of my games...

Ok, so i fixed it, in the most random way possible. Since i was running windows 8.0 and i didn't really use my Laptop after the Nvidia control panel thing occured i decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1 which fixed the problem... What the...
