Ovulus Rift Extension Cables?

So I am thinking about buying an Oculus Rift but I would need the cables extended about 15 feet. Is this possible to do with a GTX 1080 and some extension cables? I would think it would have enough power to push the extra length but I don’t know. If you have any recommendations please post links. Thanks!

There is a plenty of information about this on the Oculus subreddit. TLDR: Use active extension leads to ensure it will work:

I just use a passive 1.5m (~4.5ft) lead but haven't tried any active cables with my sensors yet.
