Using philips media player model no. HMP400079 on 50" LG plasma TV model no.50PG20D-AA with HDMI cord but plays movies without sound. Was told it might be a frequency issue but havent been able to resolve. Any ideas?

Go into the home screen setup menu and you can turn on the audio through HDMI. Here is a link to the owners manual.

Page 22 has the instructions.
There is no such thing as a frequency issue on HDMI that I have ever heard of. Did not see a place to change the type of audio output but if you can find a menu to do this try that as well.

Thanks for reply. I have tried the HDMI output, but it has sub - options such as PCM, Multichannel PCM and RAW. Have tried them all but not sure what tv settings should be to match as this is the only tv I have trouble with the player. Any ideas with tv?
