picking a headset for music and gaming

I'm looking for a headphones for my PC. All I need is for them to be comfortable and with decent sound quality.

I live in Egypt so I've got limited choices. these are the ones I managed to find with their prices around here and I need your help picking one:
Logitech G330 = $33.5
Logitech H150 = $27
Thermaltake eSports SHOCK Gaming Headset = $42

Also available the Medusa NX 5.1 at $30
(of course it's not original, my guess is that it's a refurbished version or even a high copy. those who bought it gave mixed results. some swear by its sound quality and performance, others said that it stopped working after a while and they had to return it)

I think I should also mention that I've got the Creative SB x-fi installed.

None of those headsets will make good use of the sound card. They are just not very good. The Medusa and Thermaltake are the only two that I would even attempt to use. Medusa is perhaps the better choice. Of course, if Medusa is a refurbished copy and the Thermaltake is a new copy, I'd pick Thermaltake.

Either way, none of the headsets will provide the sound quality fitting of your sound card. The sound card is way too good for those headsets.

So do you think it'd be better to spend more on a better headset? would it actually be worth the extra money?

Otherwise, why did you bother buying a high-end sound card if you're going to buy crappy headsets/headphones that won't be able to differentiate the difference in sound quality?

I'm sorry, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. What I meant by "would it be worth it" is would the difference in quality be worth the higher price quality wise? I don't mind spending a little extra but I just wanted to make sure that I'd be getting something with noticeable difference in quality in return.
And of course since I never tried any high end headset, I can't judge that for myself.

I understood what you meant. My question to you is: do you think it is worth it? You bought a good sound card so I assume that you want quality audio output, am I right? If so, then it would be worth it. Otherwise, you won't hear the difference in sound quality between using the sound card or the audio output from the motherboard.

Ok, so would any of the headsets mentioned above allow me to fully benefit from the sound card (which I mainly bought for my speakers)?
If not, what would you suggest.

No; unfortunately the closest one is Medusa. You probably won't find many decent sub-$50 quality headsets/headphones. I also don't know any. Sub-$100 provides more options. In general, headphones have better sound quality than headsets. Of course, they don't have a microphone, but you can always by a clip-on microphone. The decision is yours.

So if you could give your feedback on those two options, I can provide some options.

Ok. so let's say I'd go with headphones. I rarely use a mic anyway but I wanted it to be available if needed.
what would you suggest sub $100 (of course I'd appreciate if they were closer to the $50 mark as I still have shipping costs to worry about)

I said sub-$100 because if you include the microphone + headphone, it will be more than $50. I was going to recommend the Audio Technica ATH M35 headphones. But it doesn't have a microphone. I don't know where you stand on having a headphone be around $50 and a microphone to be $15 - $30. The microphone that I would recommend is the modmic. It is really good, but if you want to cut cost and want a lesser quality microphone, the Olympus ME-12 is a good choice.

It seems like a great choice. Unfortunately for me, I just checked and found that having it shipped will add extra $40 :\ so I'll see how this goes.
