Pioneer CLD 2710K no Audio . but plays video

Hi,

I have this player but i can recieve Video from all my discs but No audio. I tried moving the switch (theres a switch on front to go from Kareaoke to normal to AUX (input)) the only way i hear sound from A LD is when i flick the switch inbetween states (and the Digital Audio )light goes off. then i can hear sound for a quick minute.

any help would be appreciated.

also a remote code may also be the solution.

If you have a video or audio problem with any device and you asking for help. It's best list as much detail as possible.

1. Has work before and stop working or this is a new setup
2. the output being use(from and to the unit)
3. list the type of cabling-RCA analog or RCA digital

I got this unit at a garage sale so if there was the audio issue before hand, I do not know.
The only outputs are RCA analog (1992)

There are 2 outputs for audio (in parallel) so each set of outputs has the same issue.

This occurs with LD's and CD's so its not media specific. i even tried it with headphones attached to the front headphone jack
