So I've been using a Razer Megalodon headset for a year now without problems, but now when I plug in a XBOX 360 controller the sound stops working on my headset.

Theres loads of threads on this page about the same problem, but I haven't found a real answer yet.

Additional details:
So I've been experimenting and found that if I plug in my headset BEFORE I plug in the controller, the sound willl still work but the controller will not.
However if I plug in the controller first my headset won't play sound.

- I do have the latest software installed.
- I have checked if the headset is enabled.
- I have tried restarting several times.
- I am using windows 7 64 bit
- My headset is a Razer Megalodon (USB 2:0) and the controller is a standard xbox 360 controller (USB 2:0)

It seems theres a compatibility issue with my headset and the controller from what I could figure, but I'm hoping someone can help me resolve the issue.

For anyone having the same issue. I think I found out what the problem is, unfortunately theres no way to fix it.

Apparently theres a hard limit on how much power your USB sticks can provide all together, so my headset and the controller was using too much power for my motherboard to handle.

Get a powered usb adapter they are cheap enough
