PocketMusic 'notification error'

To save space in main memory on my iPAQ 2210, I have PocketMusic
installed on my SD card. It loads up OK initially, but whenever I
switch off my 2210 and return later, I get this message:
"Cannot execute \SD Card\PockeMind\PocketMusic\pocketmusic.exe"

I can then close that window, and continue paying PocketMusic OK where
I left off. But it's getting irritating. Anyone know what causes this
and how to fix it please?

Educated guess - the startup of PocketMusic is being called before the PPC
has remounted the card. I've seen a similar effect with MortPlayer. In my
case the developer of MortPlayer released a version with a fix, and I never
saw the message again. Ask the developer of PocketMusic to fix it.

Thanks, makes sense. PocketMind took the lazier line:
"Please perform a soft-reset and install PocketMusic to the main
memory, it will work better and without such problems. You can store
music files on the storage card."
I think I'd prefer to live with the problem, but it's a PITA.

I had a similar response for my copy of Planmaker. A reinstall is easy
for those guys who probably have a test machine with just that program
on, it is not so easy or practical for real world users with many
programs, and those utilities that may be difficult to find again. Out
of interest even after finding a solution for the problem with
Planmaker the response from them was not particularly good, with
insinuation pointing at something I did causing the issue, it wasn't.
At least the program is far better than the attitude and help offered.

Ah, of course that's the alternative 'solution'. I forgot about it as for
me it was no alternative at all. I'm using a first generation XDA that only
has 16Mb of internal memory, so everything that possibly can has to go on to
the card. Only programs that absolutely won't work on the card and are so
good I don't want to get by without them get into main memory. I long since
got to the point where putting a new program in main memory means
uninstalling another one, because there's very little free space.

Terry, give MortPlayer a try instead of PocketMusic. MortPlayer is a really
good mp3, ogg, mp2 and other formats player with a better interface than
Windows Media. It's free and doesn't have the bug that's giving you a
problem.

You told me to start again, not very helpful. At all. It's fine for
you, it's not in the real world for real users.

Your help was next to useless, your attitude poor. I sorted the issue
myself, gave the solution to try and help any others who came across
the same issue.
