PocketTV Question

I purchased a Ipaq rx3115 in October. I have
noticed my mpeg video's play rather poorly from
the sd card. I clear the memory first; but this
does not help.
The version number is 0.14.9.
I have a 256 Sandisk SD card with 32.73MB in use on the card.
Is there a "better" program to use?
Thank you in advance

If you get the sluggish play, could it be that you are coping the videos
directly 'as is' onto the device before conversion?

What I do is take my video, import it using Microsoft Movie Maker II
and export from there as Pocket PC. From there I can copy the video to my
device (iPAQ rz1715). The videos play beautifully and my device is a modest
one.

Just to make sure we are on the same page here.
Using the Microsoft Movie Maker II "STOPS" the
sluggish play from the SD card. Is this correct?
Thank you so much for the help!!

I guess that's the reason (what ATT said).

I use (free) PocketDivxEncoder to size down the video and use betaplayer
to play. I think you can use Windows Media Encoder as well and then play
with Windows Meadia Player. This is also the only way to play some of my
downloaded RM-files (which my RealPlayer can't read). Although WM-Encoder
doesn't list RM extention for input files. But it converts RM to WMV
without any problem.

When I use Windows Media Encoder with an .RM file it says that it has an
invalid format. How do you get it to convert RealMedia files?

Well just so you know, it will be converting them to .wmv not .mpeg
files so they will now play in windows media player, rather than
PocketTV (which your mpegs play in).

I guess I got the Codec from other player. If I'm not wrong it came with
The CorePlayer. Please check it.
I've installed RM-Alternative before as well. But I don't think my Codec
is from that player.
