PS4 Audio to Monitor to PC

I just got my PS4 today and I realized that the audio connection is not what I thought to be. I want to be able to play audio from pc and ps4 to my speakers. So after a couple hours of researching, I am connecting hdmi from ps4 to monitor. Monitor has 3.5 mm plug so I was thinking getting a split 3.5 mm audio cable for the pc and monitor to connect to the speaker (that uses RCA, so probably need an adaptor for that).

You might damage the audio output of the monitor and or PC with that connection because you are essentially connecting them to each other not just the speakers (Even if one if off)
You have two options.
1. If you connect the audio from the PC to monitor and it will act as a switch for you when you change inputs. Connect the speaker to the monitor audio out jack and the sound will follow the picture.
2. You could use an input selector switch to choose which source connects to the speakers.
