Razer Kraken headset not working through razer blackwidow keyboard usb pass through.

Hi all,
the title says it all. Recently brought the black-widow chroma keyboard and I'm trying to connect my headset through the usb port on the side however windows doesn't recognize the device and says it malfunctioning.

I have tried other devices through the usb port and it works fine. The headset works trough any other usb port on my pc.

All drivers and synapse are updated.

When i plug in the headset it looks like it gets powered for half a second and the lights turn off.

Can anyone help me?

First, did you plug in the usb hard enough? second, did you hear that little device plug in sound? if yes, try a couple more times and it should work. my razer sabertooth worked this way. and second, some are only compatible with usb 2.0 ports. usb1.0 or 3.0 will not work.
