hello,
i have a Lenovo y460 Notebook with Core i5+intel Hd 300 cpu and a 2nd Gpu Radeon Hd 5650
The Radeon Gpu have some problems sometimes its working sometimes its not
it has a Heating problem which make system Shutdown over Too much heat.
my guess is over time the gpu lose its connection to motherboard and some says reballing would make it work proper again.
intel hd graphic is enough for me and replacing the radeon gpu is cost too much.

my question is If i remove the Radeon GPU completely from Motherboard, is system automatically switch to Intel hd 3000 graphic? working fine?

thanks ahead :)

Hi,

To save time and effort in opening the laptop try disabling the Radeon graphics card in Device Manager first and might do the trick without you opening it anymore. Go to Device Manager the just right click on the Radeon card and select Disable.

thanks for answering
the chip is dead so the driver wont install on the windows, in Linux kernel its possible to completely turn of power of the gpu but not in windows,
Bios also have no option to disable the Amd graphics
