Well guys I finally did it. Ever since a freind of mine told me about distributed cancer research I have been feeling guilty here. Yeah amybe we can find an alien with the cure but what have we found in all the millions of years?

Well I joined http://members.ud.com/services/teams/team.htm?id=D4223E05-59F6-4B08-AEB1-82F9504C835A. The Inquirer's cancer research team at UD. Now I could run both, at slower speeds but NAAA. Not sure if I can cache either. So my work PC may just have to split it's time.

I loved watching my WU's climb, especially with those great charts.

Thanks everyone. I will at least be around to visit. I didn't know anyone here but it still feels like I'm leaving home. Bye maa!!!

Hey when is Tom going pump his Seti Team anyhow? How about the new old guy? I did write him about it. you all need a link on the home page.

C'ya round,

Glutzie

Glutzie,

I joined one of my PCs as well, if it's as good as it looks I will take all my five PCs over there!
Hopefully we could set up a Tomshardware team there?

medical research is more interesting and rewarding than aliens in my opinion.

Well I'm with the Inquire, the Limey that left or got booted from The Register, it's his site and team.

It's too bad that United Devices (or somebody) is making money off of your generous donation of CPU cycles. Why not go for a not-for-profit project, such as Folding@Home. It seems much more worthwhile, for me anyways.

You can find info at http://foldingathome.stanford.edu

Really Now!!! I heard that about an Oxford program. Actuall they were selling our cpu time. I'll have to look into it. I like the Inquire but I'm going to have to lay into him if this is the case.

I just joined the Inquirer as well, I like to support Mike Magee, especially now when he is waiting for his bypass.
My name is PaceBlade, after 6hrs I've done 98% of my first unit so I should be among the top three on the list (strange that there are 53 people on the list but only two made a unit each...).
I like SETI with all the statistic programs and all the tweaking, love to use SETIWatch etc, seems that these software don't exist for the cancer research...

Per Lyngemark

I think that the new MD is very cool, it has got a feature that I've been looking for in SETI. The possibility to have several people joining under one name and still see individual results.
I have already taken three of my PCs (the other betel Nuts will be joining shortly) and I can see their individual performance/points.

Looking forward to see others joining in to find the cure for cancer! Or stay here and hope that the Aliens you find already have the cure for cancer!
Either way don't let you CPU be idle for the sake of human society!!!
