Let me tell in detail.
For last few months my Dell XPS L502x - GT 540M graphics driver kept on crashing. I tried latest driver, a driver from dell. I also tried downgrading my nvidia driver to version 295.1. But it didn't work out.
Recently I read in some forum which they said "try playing without power adapter plugged in". To my surprise, I could play the games smoothly. Due to insufficient power supply to GPU its crashing. So I decided to start saving money to buy new lappy in few months.
Till that , I decided to play games undrrclocking GPU with MSI Afterburner. What is the safe limit I could go. Stock clock is 692MHz. Memory clock 900Mhz.
Will this plan work out for another 5 - 6 months.

From my experience underclocKing isn't dangerous, but I don't 100% know, theoretically couldn't you just lower the power limited to like 70-85%
