I am attempting to utilize Nvidia Surround to extend my display between that of my Sager NP7258 and 2 AOC monitors with available DVI-D and VGA inputs. The laptop have available mDP, HDMI, and VGA outputs.

First off, I am not interested in utilizing VGA, whatsoever. So, my configuration is a mDP-HDMI adapter from the laptop to an HDMI Cable that runs to an HDMI-DVI adapter and finally the first monitor. This monitor appears under Configure Surround.

The second is via the HDMI output to an HDMI cable identical to the first, an HDMI-DVI adapter like the first, and finally the second monitor. This monitor does NOT appear in Configure Surround.

The primary laptop display does not appear in Configure Surround either.

Windows sees all three displays and extends my desktop, no problem.

What is my problem? Do I need to drive both displays from the mini-DP output? Is this possible without expensive splitters? Even then, why doesn't my primary display appear as an option?

Thanks guys.
