Samsung Smart TV will not let me log into Netflix

The app opens up and allows me to enter my log in information. Each time I enter my email and password I get a message regarding "there was an error processing your request and that the login information does not match" I have confirmed the login information on my compute and it still won't accept it

so much so that i went back to the app and didn't try this right away... but it's real lol
i did this button sequence while on the password entry screen and it took me to a separate menu with several options, including a log out option.
