You should format the SD card before you plug it in. I will give you some advices:
1) Backup your data!
2) Format that SD card (you may need card reader) to FAT32... The problem should be gone! If not -> give it back and use your warranty

Thanks, but it asks for allocation unit size and defaults to 32 kilobytes. Is this correct?
