I have a Sharp Aquos LCD TV LC-60LE6300U and will move to Europe. The label on back of the TV says 120V / 60Hz ~. However, the power unit board (behind a panel) says: I/P: 100-240 V ~ , 3.5 A, 50 - 60 Hz next to power cord connector. The power board has the part number: DPS-165HP-2A. Will the TV run on 220V? Is there a possibility of breaking the TV when it is plugged into 220V?

Thanks!

I guess you should call the a/s service center to be informed on what to do. Maybe they can recommend a good power supply adapter for you. Anyway it is somehow different with my case because I got a LG LCD TV and it came with its charge and power supply adaptor. I was told that it has an Overload, Overvoltage and Short-circuit Protection, a good Insulation performance and high strength electric resistance.

Currently I am into LG LW5600 and I am enjoying every bit of it, especially the inputs on the back like HDMI and USB jacks are easily accessible. I find easy to get on Netflix, Vudu, Amazon, MLB.tv, YouTube, and more services built right in, along with apps that bring channels like Revision3 from the main menu.

Good for you chum. So why LG LW5600 when you have other nice brands like Sammy, Panasonic, sony etc?

I was going in for a TV that has great quality pictures and cheaper price, and tumbled over the LG 47LW5300. In fact, I was satisfied with the contrast ratio, wall mounting system, and especially the 3D glasses, which were pretty comfy.

Ok buddy! You that have experienced both cinema TV and LCD TVs, do you see any difference between the cinema TV and the conventional LCD TVs?

I'm not really sure. Picture quality wise, its good, but so are a lot of other TVs. I think for the price, this TV beats all and the backlighting is excellent for watching during the day.
