Im no console lover or handheld gamer, but the specs on this look beefy and awesome, however, I think they have a little too much for such a small device. Specs on this could be better used on a android tablet with a bigger battery, which would make perfect sense.
 
I'll be waiting until I have my hands on both the 3DS and the NGP/PSP2 before I declare a personal winner. Sony's definitely made a contest out of this though. It's gonna get interesting.
 
And here is the new PSP2... well, it is not here actually, but it is very close, maybe only 10 months... But look at the specifications... well, it can be modified depending on production costs, and we are not sure about the performance... But it is the best thing we created... well, when it is finished... but for a good price... er... when it is priced.

I can ONLY play Angry Birds on my Xperia x10. Anything else won't get me so hooked for long enough to get a low battery warning. You'll need larger batteries, a mobile battery charger, or a wall socket.

PSP - games, not apps.

Also, iP5 = only dual core CPU and dual core GPU, not quad core.

No, no it is not. 🙁
I want 32GB internal storage and dual SD slots. I have no intent of carrying a dozen little memory chips.
I also want Sony to finally get their act together with their PSP games. Only a few are worth the money in my opinion.
 
If this is 1st Gen AMOLED like my Cowon S9, then you won't see Jack Squat in the daylight.

If this is an improved SuperAMOLED Then I may recommend you buy it, I still won't. PSP games aren't my thing.

What good are all the high specs if you cant comfortably use the device?

Dual analog sticks is nice but I still don't think this thing will fit my hands. The buttons and the snazzy new analog sticks are still right against the edge of the device so you have to crunch your hands up to hold the controls. I know size is a big issue but think about an Xbox 360 controller. You have the whole lot of controller to grip and put the joysticks in a comfortable position. Hopefully Sony will release a high quality grip attachment that can be taken off and stored in a compact case or something.
 
To be honest, I'm going to stick with the 3DS or nothing at all. Graphics don't mean a lot to me, and Quad-core really means nothing to me. It's much like AMD Athlon X4s vs. Intel Core i3. I'm sure even with the major battery loss with the 3DS, it still has the ability to outlive the PSP2.

The Sega Dreamcast used a PowerVR CPU too, if I recall. That was a single-core though.
