My Yamaha yas-207 was connected successfully to my Samsung tv. We have the optical cable connected to both and power out of the bar. It worked before our housekeeper came and then doesn’t now. It has power and we don’t see any hdmi that is unplugged. We don’t remember if it was only connected to the tv by optical cable to begin with? Just not sure what is wrong. It looks and reacts normally. Just no sound.

Solution
Make sure that the soundbar input is correctly selected. The housekeeper would have had to press one button on the soundbar remote to mess that up.
Make sure that the ARC or optical out are turned on in the TV menu. The TV speakers may have to be turned off and the audio output type changed. It's less likely that the housekeeper messed with the TV menu but not impossible.
The housekeeper may have unplugged the power cord of the soundbar or TV while cleaning and then plugged it back in messing up some settings.
