The recovery disks contain the OS, which is licensed for each device. Getting someone else's OS and license would mean breaching the EULA and possibly having that license removed, as it will show activation on multiple different devices.
Best bet is to contact the manufacturer for a spare DVD set. They usually provide these at low cost, compared to having to buy a retail OS license.
Or you could try to use a free OS, like Ubuntu; very user-friendly.
