Solved! TV backlight not working after changing power supply board

Hi Everyone,

I have a Panosonic TX-48CX400B tv.
It started to make a loud buzzing sound and after taking it apart I could tell it was coming from the the power supply board and I could see some of the components had over heated.

I got a new replacement power supply board that I know is correct as all the part numbers match up. I fitted it this morning and the buzzing has gone but the backlight isn’t lighting up. I put the old board back on the tv and the backlight is working again so I know it’s not a faulty back light.

Does anyone know what the possible reasons for the backlight not working with the new board could be?

sounds like the backlight ribbon connectors are not making a good connection, it's a common problem when reassembling.
