my laptop screen is broken so can I hook it up to a TV screen that has HDMI 1 & 2, or usb ports & how

I would use the HDMI, a USB to HDMI adapter has quite the latency and can only be used for basic tasks. For the most part the laptop should pick up the screen as you log in.
