I recently got a 24 inch TV to use as a monitor for my computer, the only problem is this TV doesn't have a VGI port so I am forced to use HDMI which wouldnt be a problem except when i switched cables the windows 7 icons, dock, widgets and my rainmeter widgets all got huge. Here is a picture of what it looks like

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

So i checked the resolution and they are both the same... Also when I went to change the size of the icons, the smallest option was smaller which it was already set to. Is there another way to make everything even smaller?

I'm using a old Westinghouse 32in LCD tv for a monitor, the HDMI is a better look then the VGA connection.
My max resolution on my on-board video card is 1366x768 , doesn't look to bad for this near sited guy. I guess it would be how good your video card is. Planning on getting a new card with 2GB GDDR5 and will see then.

No yeah so i figured it out, since my screen is 720p windows made everything bigger in order to not have everything look gross. and I so in fact have a 2 gb graphics card and will have a second as soon as my new motherboard comes in, maybe your right and and extra 2 gb will fix it but we'll see i guess
