VGA projector ( Epson EB X02) connecged to S8 via EZ cast - NO SOUND

vga projector audio conversion : I have an old school classroom projector ( Epson EB X02) whicih I have connected up via VGA to a convertor which then goes via USB into my new Samsung S8... I thought the hard bit would be to get the image from new phone to old projector but I managed it and looks AMAZING but now I have no idea how to get the sound out! If I connect speakers to the phone no sound comes out. If I connect speakers to the convertor then there is sound but no video? Should I be getting the sound out of the projector with one of those double headed red and yellow cable thingy's? (research shows it's called a phono/ A-V jack.. apologies for lack of correct lingo!)

Try using a bluetooth speaker for audio. You may want to list exactly what converter and cable you are using with the phone.

Some of the USB-C to VGA converters have audio outputs on them too. I assume yours' doesn't and the phone may assume it does. You may be able to change this in the S8 settings. Otherwise you will need a converter with VGA and audio out.
