I just bought a Canon ES 8200 HI-8 video camera. What is the best hardware/software combination that would allow me to use my computer for video/audio editing? Unfortunetly my video card doesn't have any video inputs but my sound card has audio inputs. My system also has 2 USB ports.

sorry to say, but i think you've made a wrong decision. try to get rid of analog camera and buy yourself a digital one, d8 or dv.
for your needs, there are some pinnacle products available at http://www.pinnaclesys.com - but pinnacle is well known about compatibility issues, unstable and unreliable hw. same as, i'm afraid, every analog video editing hw, except professional systems that costs fortune.

If you want to do simple analog video editing then get yourself the ATI TV-Wonder.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor
