water spilt, laptop's touchscreen not working nor keyboard and mouse

My sister spilt water on my laptop about 6 months ago and i want to fix it. i ca turn the laptop on and the screen comes on but i cant use the touchscreen or the keboard or the mouse and they're the only things wrong i believe. can someone please help me , is it the motherboard, circuits? and can i replace whatevers wrecked

Try another keyboard before you swap motherboards. You can find keyboards for many models on ebay for about $20.

Did you take the thing apart and clean it out if needed, reseat the connections?

Does it accept any peripherals? USB mouse/keyboard? If so it will help you better isolate the issue. If the ports are working it is more unlikely to be the entire board. Just the fact that it posts and brings you to the desktop basically leans toward the board being okay, but it could still act erratically.
