Which replacement for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 ?

A good friend of mine "got Windows 10 without accepting it" 🙂-)) on his diagnostic laptop (he is a car mechanic). It is a HP Pavilion DV6 Core i3 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 graphic card.

There are no Win 10 drivers for this card. Any suggestions for which card he can/should buy?

P.s.
The fan runs on full speed all the time (CPU-load ca 5-10%), and the case gets really hot.
Any suggestions..?

It can't be changed but there are windows 10 drivers for it. http/support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

He could revert to the previous windows version. Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, and there should be an option to go back to windows 7(or 8.1 or whatever he had).

No, there are no restore point from before the Win 10 installation. I assume he has declined the offer to make restorepoints...

It's not a restore point and there is no way to opt out unless he did a clean install with it deleting everything. He could still reinstall the older windows version from an iso if he wants to revert. That of course would delete everything. But I don't see a reason to revert unless there are issues.

No, it was not a clean install. It was an upgrade.
He tells me today that he found out that he had 30 days to go back to Win 7. Let us hope that work for him.
The (car)diagnostic program he is so dependant of is from Bosch and they have pretty strict rules, and charge heavily for any kind of help.

That is exactly the option I directed you to. I haven't used this but some people have used this to remove any notification or auto update to 10. https/www.grc.com/never10.htm
