something weird I am now testing the gift that I gave to my brother "760d". why is it it seems sharper than my 5D? doest it mean that my 5d is broken or there are many hot pixels?

Solution
Getting confused here. Did you actually shoot the same thing in the same situation with the same settings and same lens? Only way to say one is better than the other is to use them in equivalent conditions.

That said... The 760D should provide better video overall than the 5DMKII, with better focus tracking, video compression modes, and lower sensor noise. The 5D MKII is still an amazing camera that will take great video, but the 760D is just that much better when the videographer doesn't know exactly what he's doing or the room is too dark for the 5D to keep up.
It's not "sharper", rather it has a higher pixel density and smaller sensor. For a given lens, it'll use only the better, center area, which can result in sharper images. If you're using different lenses but same field of view and effective pixel desnsity, most likely it's a lens issue.

I think no camera have the settings to increase the pixels uless the frame itself
:D

All canon DSLR cameras have L, M, S sizes in Fine and Standard compression. It's certainly possible. To make sure it's not a settings issue, set both to shoot RAW (CR2) images in the largest size and compare that way.

photonboy, original 5D is actually 12MP, only MKII and MKIII are 22 ;) He probably meant 5D MKII since he referenced that in another thread, but should be careful.

yes it's Mark II.
now I am using eos m3 for photography instead of 5d my brother is using 760 and my girlfriend is using a nikon D5200. for some reason I am comfortable with EOS M3 than other cameras even though people were saying it's a piece of shit :D

look at this I one of the people who shoot this I used 5d mk II. my boss were using fx7.

I mean check the SETTINGS for the camera. There are lower quality settings for both pictures and video to save on storage space. For example, you might have a 22MP sensor but be shooting at 4MP, or be capable of 1080p but shooting at 480p.

The capability to handle low brightness or choosing the wrong ISO or other settings can further affect the image quality.
