Laptop Acer 5738g running on Windows 7. Battery charges instantly to 100% and it is not reducing with the use. Even on reaching minimum level, it shows 100% and suddenly goes off.

Try to calibrate the battery
  1. Double-click the power management icon in the task bar and select the "Maximum battery life" mode.
  2. After clicking the "Settings" button, switch to the "Battery Maintenance" setting page. At this time, click the "Start" button, then a prompt window will pop up. At this time, please close all application processes and ensure that the AC is connected After clicking the "Continue" button on the power adapter, it will prompt that the battery accuracy correction is being processed.
  3. Be patient, the battery status will show "power on, not charged". When the "Battery Accuracy Correction Completed" pops up, click the "Confirm" button, and the battery status will display "The power is on and charging", which indicates that the battery calibration is successful.
