I am going through the process if replacing my Nexus 5 with a new one (I believe it is faulty) but will Google make me pay the full price of a new device if it turns out my original phone wasn't broken?
Thanks a lot.
If it's not broken, they'll send it back to you. I don't think they'll charge you anything, but you'll probably have to pay shipping both ways.
When I've been talking to them this is what they've said:
- Only ship the 'faulty' device when the replacement arrives along with the shipping materials for the old one.
- You will be charged if it is found that the device has damage that is not covered under warranty.
-blah blah blah
I can't see any reason they'd charge me if my device is found to be in full working order, hmm..
Any other opinions?
