WMC DVR-MS to other format

Anyone has a recommendation as to convert the DVR-MS format used by windows media player to another format that can be read by other applications and devices. I know that basically, it's an MPEG format but it's not really recognized as such. I am using Vista 64.

Any good suggestions for an easy to use software to can do that ?

Yep, no extra software required!

windows movie maker will convert it to avi!
