Won't stay on

I bought the 40 inch led tv for my son ..The remote doesn't work even with new batteries. But the TV won't stay on ..It goes of after a few minutes and a small red light flashes for 90 seconds or so then the TV goes back on and this continues. ...Help ??

If it is a new TV I would simply take it back and swap it / replace it ... otherwise look at your warranty, based on date of purchase and see if it is still "within" that period.

Please specify the model nad brand, and how old it is otherwise.
