Solved! Won't turn on unless plugged in

My asus laptop which I bought 1 year ago shuts down Immediately on removing the charger and won't open unless plugged in. Also the battery is detected and showing 100% charged

The battery is likely giving a false reading. Which is extremely common. When they start to die they will show a charge as more than what it is really now capable of retaining. I would suggest getting a new battery.
