so i have a 5.1 surround sound speaker setup (long story), but as of now i can't put the 2 small speakers on the wall anywhere. can i keep all 5 speakers in the front, or would it sound better if i disabled those speakers and only kept the ones on the left, right, and center?
I have connected PS4 to a 4K TV via HDMI/STB port, then, TV is connected to a 5.1 Home Theatre system via HDMI/ARC port.
If I plug in a USB drive to TV and I watch a movie with 6 channel (5.1) sounds, Home Theatre System receives 5.1 audio fine via HDMI/ARC.
But it doesn't get 5.1 audio from PS4...
Hi there, I bought recently a soundblaster Z 5.1 card.
Today i bought new speaker cable (plugged normally into the sub all work fine and without problem) and jacks to plug up my speaker setup into the sound card,
instead of going through my active subwoofer (it has an in-built amp in it)
I...
I recently purchased an LG B6, and came to realize my good old AVR (a Denon 1612), featuring HDMI 1.4, won't do HDR pass-through, so intending to keep the Denon, I switched to having the TV in the middle, instead of the AVR as I did until today. I have managed to get audio sent from the TV to...
Hello, I was watching a movie to test out my surround sound and during some scenes I would hear distortion on my surround speakers. The distortion is consistent around really bassy noise. I can mess around with settings but I want experts opinions. I did some research and read bass management in...
Hey guys, hope you're all doing well.
So, I have a little question. I am using an Asus Xonar STX II 7.1 in my PC and I want to set up a home theater in my room. Now I could just go ahead and buy a set of a 5.1 speaker system, but considering the fact that my PC's sound card will be better than...
When i launch Rocksmith 2014 the subwoofer cuts out and only the two front speakers start working. I'm new to this kind of stuff so i don't know if it's the game or something i've configured wrong.

Hello. I was recently given a Pioneer 5.1 receiver as a gift (link to the web page below).
Before I was given this, I have been using my Kanto YU2 studio monitors w/ a subwoofer (using the YU2's sub out) as a daily driver for both games and music via USB. The left speaker is active and the...
I have Samsung HT-THX25 Home Theatre system that has 5.1 speaker system and all speakers are 100w 3Ω including the subwoofer. The trick is that the unit itself has only stereo input so it just casts that stereo sound on 6 channels. I'd like to use my speakers full potential so I need an amp that...
So I have been trying to get my surround sound to work properly for a while now and I'm finally giving in and asking for help.

Hello, I have a GTX 980 Ti and I'm using it to output 5.1 sound to my receiver through HDMI (secondary). My main display uses a DisplayPort output.
Everything is apparently fine as long as I keep the secondary HDMI display turned on (in Nvidia Control Panel).
If I choose to turn it off...
So I've got this motherboard (MSI Z77A-G43) and this HTiB (Samsung HT-BD1250) system I got from my aunt & uncle. I've been using it as 2.1 for about a year now but thought it was time to get 5.1 working.
There are images of all the HTBD1250s outputs / inputs in the link and it supposedly...
Hello
I was looking for a cheap speakerset (about €50-60) to hook up to my TV (Samsung UE40KU6100)

Creative A550 5.1
Logitech Z333 2.1

(Or does anyone know another good set in this...
Hey guys,
