Hi guys i managed to configure a build at pc specialist ( a uk based custom pc builder) and it currently has an i-3 4000m, gtx 760m, 4 gb kingston memory and a 1600x900 display. What im wondering is is this build powerful enough to take modern games at native resolution on medium or low settings (bf3,crysis 3, tf2).

Would the mobile i3 bottleneck the gpu or is the 760m weak enough that a i5 4200m wouldnt be much of an upgrade? I cant seem to fine any benchmarks with this config (i3, gtx 760m)

budget is tight at the moment and i dont think its worth spending much more for a non upgradable laptop. Hence im trying to aim for decent value for money at 450£

thanks!

pc specialist is a very good bang for your buck site.
the gtx 760M will play almost everything at medium 60+ and high at around 30-50, so they're still very playable.
there isn't much difference between the I3 and I5, as long as they're dual cores.
no the CPU will not bottleneck.

So would the i3 and 760m be quite a balanced build and would upgrading to something even higher (i7 4700mq) help frame rates or would it be quite a small improvement therefore does not justify cost?
