I am having an issue with using 5.1 Audio in Windows Vista Ultimate X64. I made sure all my audio drivers were up to date. I checked in the control panel that the audio is set to 5.1 channels in all sound options.

Although it says it is in 5.1 the audio is still playing in two channel. When playing games it auto detects 2 channels even when I turn 5.1 on it still is running off of 2channels. I also have XP and it runs and auto detects in games 5.1 no problem and it sounds amazing so I can tell the difference between 5.1 and 2 channel.

Here are some photos of my sound devices and the options set to 5.1. I am using SPDIF coaxial.
Photos uploaded via photobucket if unable to open after copy and paste into exlporer address let me know.

There has to be some fix besides, vista just does not support it.

As said in other threads

"You need to setup the Realtek audio manager to 6 channels analog."

Does the same apply to me? I am using a soundman with the P5E3 Deluxe motherboard audio. I do not have BlackHawk or any audio manager on my computer I am sure I can get it, but if I do have the audio manager for BlackHawk soundman can someone guide me exactly where to go to turn 6 channel analog on?
