Acer aspire 1650 laptop recovery help

Hi:

I've been trying to restore my Acer Aspire 1650 laptop to its factory settings, but neither of the methods available online is working.

The CDs that came with the Laptop purchase do not include any recovery discks, and the "hold down alt and tap F10 repeatedly" method is not working.

Any suggestions?

Are you able to login to windows? Is the recovery partition undamaged?
If yes for both, then you can burn the recovery CD. There is an application in the Acer folder when you click start button.

This is why I also tell people to burn the recovery CDs right after buying the laptop. You never know when you will need them. But people never do.
