I am currently working on a Asus u52f laptop for a customer of mine. My mind is shot and I don't have a lot of resources. I plug the power source in and push the power button, the power light comes on but nothing else does. No fan no sounds/sign of the HD, no beeps. The screen does not come up, nothing. I have tried pulling the battery and unplug the machine and hold the power button for X amount of seconds. I tried removing ram, switching, one at a time etc. I searched google for answers and just haven't gotten anything. I took the machine apart and looked at the motherboard no signs or damage(however I didn't take the motherboard completely out to check the other side) I don't want to waste to much more of my time trouble shooting this machine for I have other work to do. My best guess though is the motherboard is shot and I will have to replace it. However I don't want to go but this part replace it and have it still not work (no one does). Anyone have this problem before or has a definite solution? Thanks!
If you want to repair the laptop you must follow some guideline to troubleshoot the problem. You don't want to take much time to troubleshoot the laptop so give it to a laptop repair shop. There is no definite solution to any problem.
I will go through the trouble shooting process I already have done a lot what I am asking is can anyone point me in a direction to fix this laptop I have done things already (listed above) there can be definite solution to a problem if someone has experienced the same problem. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?
