Hello guys!
I hope you are all doing well 😊
I need your help cause my laptop died suddenly this week while I was teleworking.
It's a good one I bought 1 year ago for photography and video editing:
https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS-ZenBook-Flip-15-UX562FD/
-The AC cable was pluged in and battery fully charged when it suddenly turned off, impossible to reboot and no more battery led light
-my monitor and a led strip light behind my desk were connected to the same multiplug, and those were still on. I didnt see led strip light blinking
-no resistor burning smell from the laptop, charger... tried the charger on an other power outlet, still nothing happening
Because every electronic shop is closed in Montreal and I need it to work again as soon as possible, before sending it to ASUS I wanted to try a battery+CMOS reset (apparently its a comon error, the bios could be completely stuck and thats why I dont have any led indicator)
But I had a great surprise when opening it.. I didn't find any CMOS battery on the motherboard, even underneath
You can see some pictures I took here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zBv3u66DtjN-w7o08o1rKLZDiDqw0Mf_?usp=sharing
It's weird because the non-flip zenbook has a cmos battery very easy to find on the motherboard..
If you guys have any idea of how to do CMOS reset one this guy... it would be very helpful!
Or maybe any other thing I can try before sending it to ASUS and having it back in few months due to the current global crisis 😞
Thank you for reading and have a great day!
Dorian
